Greg’s Hut (December 2015)

Doing the longest walk of the year on one of the shortest days of the year meant an early start – 9.00am at the Village Green at Garrigill. The plan was simple – from Garrigill up the Pennine Way all the way to Greg’s Hut, lunch in Greg’s Hut then back down to Garrigill. For most of the way we were in mist so the views were non-existent. In fact we were virtually at Greg’s Hut before we saw it! Twenty minutes or so for lunch then it was back down and shortly before 2.00pm we were back in Garrigill.
