This was the first of our summer evening walks. Meeting at the Cumberland Hotel at 6.00pm, from where our route would take us past the Youth Hostel and out along the Pennine Way/South Tyne Trail alongside the river as far as Bleagate, returning via the upper path via Nattrass Gill and Annat Walls and ending up back at the Cumberland Hotel for much-needed refreshments.
